Our story:
NB Researchers is a family run business that was born when Nina had to dig deep to find some information contained in a century-old set of documents. She was working on a project with the German university where she plans (Covid-19 permitting) to start her PhD studies in Geography and Environmental Studies later this year. Sharing her daughter’s love for research, Nicolene helped Nina mine through stacks of dusty annual reports to find the elusive gems of information she was looking for. Discussing how much fun they had with the project, they realised that not everybody shares their passion and that many people lack either the will or the time, or both, to hunt for informative tidbits that they might need to complete a project. This, the duo realised, was a gap in the market. With both of them being highly qualified, published academics – Nicolene has a Doctorate in Journalism and Nina has a Master’s degree in Geography and Environmental Studies – and a combined 46 years of freelance work between them, helping others to do research would only make sense. The additional services they can offer make them a one-stop-shop for organisations, businesses and even individuals who need a helping hand.
